Genoa Meneses, MIS

Trustee Genoa Meneses, MIS, brings extensive experience in public administration, program management, grant oversight, and community service to the Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District Board of Trustees. Her professional background includes service with Inyo County as Deputy Director of Public Health and Prevention, as well as work for Visit Greater Palm Springs, a joint powers authority representing local governments throughout the Coachella Valley. A resident of Indio, Ms. Meneses holds a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies in Business Administration and Writing from Western New Mexico University. Her professional development includes certifications in project management, grant writing, law and ethics for public entity providers, and FEMA's National Incident Management System.
Ms. Meneses has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to community service. She served for many years with the American Red Cross as a Public Information Officer and Media Content Specialist, supporting disaster response communications and community education initiatives. She has also volunteered with FIND Food Bank, assisting with food sorting that supported distribution efforts serving underserved communities and gaining firsthand insight into local food insecurity and community health needs.
